Her extensive experience in working and volunteering in the Southern NH region gives her the opportunity to help buyers find just the in the right community to locate for their family and/or professional life. For sellers, this gives her a knowledge and understanding of the market, the appeal of the small towns and what will make a property attractive to buyers! After years helping manage a family retail business, May became the Executive Director of Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce and added nonprofit management and leadership to her experience in building a full knowledge of the business, civic and nonprofit organizations in the region. Important information to new residents looking for the services needed to become comfortable and enjoy their new location. While raising their family in Amherst, she served in a number of volunteer leadership positions and has been honored with Amherst Citizen of the Year 2012, one of Twenty-Five Outstanding Women 2013 by the Nashua Telegraph and a Paul Harris Fellow by Milford Rotary Club. With and her husband, Richard, Team Balsama was voted #1 Realtor team in the Souhegan Valley 2014 to 2017. May has achieved Honor Society status with BHHS 2016 to 2023.
May received the Good Neighbor Award from the Greater Manchester Nashua Board of Realtors and served on that Board for 5 years including as 2023 President.
